Each moment of the year has its own beauty – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Wohoo!!! Today’s episode is season 1 finale of the Joy in Failure podcast. I can’t believe I’ve recorded 20 whole episodes in such a short period of time. Words can’t begin to describe my gratitude for each and every one of you – for listening and reaching out and sharing all your stories, testimonies and love with me. My heart overflows with deep appreciation for you all. My intention prior to starting this podcast was to inspire people through deeper conversations. And it gives me great joy to know that my intention has been realized – all thanks to the gift of a ‘perceived’ failure and difficulty season in my life. I'm really looking forward to returning, fully recharged for Season 2 of the podcast. Yay!
So on this episode, I share the profound lessons I’ve learned in the past 5 months since starting this podcast, and how I continue to learn how to embrace all the seasons of life. We tend to expect life to only comprise of spring and summer seasons in our lives (aka when things are going well). But meaningful lives are created when we learn to embrace the harsh seasons in our lives too (aka the winter and fall seasons in our lives).
Listening to this podcast, you’ll hear me share how I’ve learned to see the beauty in everything, while receiving the gifts that each season brings. As a result from a harsh season in my life, I learned to birth this podcast and truly find myself. As you wait for the Season 2 of the podcast, feel free to binge on the other 19 episodes here on on iTunes, Stitcher & Soundcloud and GooglePlay.
Notable quotes from this episode:
'There is a season and reason for everything.'
'There is always a reason to complain and there is always a reason to celebrate. So, you get to choose if you want to complain or celebrate. It’s up to you.'
'No season lasts forever, so enjoy the gifts it brings.'
'There is always good in every season. You just have to open your eyes to see it.'
This episode is perfect for anyone struggling with change, and understanding how to navigate this game called life.
